Gibson General / Deaconess Clinic EXPRESS, located at 1414 W. Broadway Street in Princeton, Indiana opened on Wednesday, May 30, to provide a convenient health care option for the community. A ribbon cutting with representatives from both organizations and community leaders took place at noon; an open house with tours and refreshments immediately followed.
The new EXPRESS clinic is the only walk-in/immediate care clinic in the Princeton area and represents a joint effort between Gibson General Hospital and Deaconess Health System.
"Access to care is one of the most important issues facing patients today. This EXPRESS clinic is a walk in or immediate care clinic, able to treat minor illnesses or injuries 7 days a week. It will allow another care option for patients in the Gibson County area, and provides an alternative to visiting the emergency department, or a drive to Evansville," said Shawn McCoy, CEO of Deaconess Health System.
Providers at this facility include family nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Services provided will include the diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and injuries, school/sports physicals, pregnancy evaluations, TB test/ readings, breathing treatments, ear wax removal, and blood sugar screenings.
Hours of operation will be 8 AM - 8 PM, 7 days a week. (Holiday hours may vary.)
Appointments can be scheduled online by visiting www.deaconess.com/urgentcare. Walk-ins are always welcome.
