Our Community

Gibson County is a diverse community of 32,666 people located in southwestern Indiana, just north of the state’s third largest city. A longtime center for agriculture, the county is also home to a growing number of manufacturers and small business owners.

Our community offers historic attractions, festivals, specialty shops, along with affordable housing and excellent schools – all with a small town atmosphere.

An outdoor lover’s paradise, you will find ample opportunity for camping, hiking, biking, hunting, fishing and much more. The Ohio River is located 30 minutes away, nearly 200,000 acres of national forest and several lakes to choose from within 90 minutes, and there are 25 golf courses within 30 minutes as well.

For those who enjoy travel, the area is an easy commute (within three hours) of Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville and St. Louis.
