About the Foundation

As a charitable, not-for-profit entity, the mission of Gibson General Health Foundation is to raise funds in support of the programs and services of Gibson General Hospital in its quest to provide high quality, patient centered and cost effective care to the people of Gibson County and the surrounding area.

The Foundation strives to meet the healthcare needs of individuals in the community through the generosity of others. Through their contributions, donors become an important part of the healthcare team by providing resources that would not be otherwise available.

A board of directors, which consists of local business leaders and community members, governs the Foundation. Jude McCord, executive director, administers daily operations consisting of fund development, financial management and allocations according to donor wishes.

Gibson General Health Foundation is a not-for-profit, 501(C)3 organization, whose purpose is to provide philanthropic support to help further the healing mission of quality, patient centered, cost effective healthcare for all at Gibson General Hospital.

Gibson General Health Foundation will provide an avenue of opportunity for individuals, groups, and companies to make a difference in the health and well-being of those who access Gibson General Hospital for their healthcare needs, providing an overall improved quality of life. To accomplish this, we will:

• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, volunteers, and potential friends of GGHF.
• Develop opportunities for donors to share their generosity of time and treasure with GGHF.
• Provide stewardship of our resources provided to us through the generosity of others, ensuring the utmost ethical considerations in all decisions.
• Support the Donor Bill of Rights, developed by leaders in the philanthropy industry as a best practice in development. †
