Clinical services Social Services Shortly before or after admission, you will be asked for information which we compile into a social history, including previous occupations, personal background, hobbies, attitudes, etc. This social history helps our staff know more about you in order to provide better, more personalized care. Our social worker is familiar with services of various private and public social health and welfare agencies in the community and can help you get services you may need. You will be invited to attend care conferences to better help us meet your goals. Food Services Our Food Services Department provides three excellent well-balanced meals daily. Upon your admission, a food service representative will visit you to discuss your meals and eating habits in order to meet your personal needs. All who are able are encouraged to eat in the dining room. Meals are served at approximately 7:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Family and friends who visit you are invited to eat in the hospital cafeteria to join you with a guest tray at a reasonable charge. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Weekend and evening meals for family and friends are available from the dietary department, but must be ordered in advance. Please let your nurse know if you desire to order an evening or weekend meal. Additional Services We provide personal laundry service for machine washable items, or you may do your own laundry if you prefer. You may bring a portable television, which will connect with our cable service free of charge. You may have a phone in your room, if you wish, and will be charged a minimal monthly fee. The Princeton Daily Clarion is distributed weekdays at no charge. |
