GGH hosting free flu prevention seminar on Nov. 27

Gibson General Hospital is hosting a free community seminar titled “Flu Prevention: 101” on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Health & Education Room. A light dinner of soup, sandwiches and chips will be provided.
Attendees will hear from Kara Moyer, MSN, RN, CEN, the hospital’s director of emergency and quality services, and its director of pharmacy Logan Fiscus, PharmD, MBA. They will discuss the flu, what it is, how to prevent it and what to do if you or a loved one gets the flu this season. Free flu shots will be available to the first 25 people to register for the event. Flu shots will be available for $10 to those who register outside of the first 25.
