Gibson General implements new visitor restrictions beginning March 13

As part of Gibson General Hospital’s continued efforts to protect our patients, employees and community from potential exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are implementing new visitor restrictions. Beginning Friday, March 13, hospital visitation will be limited to those seeking health care and our patients’ immediate family members and caregivers. Exceptions will be made for extraordinary circumstances.
 
We will continue to screen everyone who enters the hospital for the following:
  • Fever or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough or sore throat within the last 21 days'
  • International travel within the last 14 days to restricted countries. For updated information on restricted countries, visit www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers
  • Contact with someone with known or suspected novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Visitors and patients, who are not currently inpatients, continue to be directed to use the following entrances so they can be properly screened (access will not be available at any other entrances):
  • Main Entrance (West Entrance) - Entrance to STAR•ONE Rehab and the Gift Shop
  • ER/Outpatient Entrance
